"Where are we now? Is it different from where we were in the beginning?"
Calligaris (2004)
Assess the efficacy of psychological interventions is a core element since only evaluating our practice we will be able to better intervene.
In this regard, throughout my clinical practice, I participated in some studies that addressed key elements of the psychological intervention (as motivation for therapy, therapeutic environment, etc.).
Also, I took part of the Psychotherapy Research Portugal Team and the international practice-based research network for personalizing health assessment (IPHA Group), collaborating in an Individualized Patient-Progress System (2014).
Furthermore, and from a practitioner viewpoint, it is a regular practice to reflect about the therapeutic intervention, setbacks, challenges and the gains of the cases I follow in psychological intervention. Thus, I have been writing some study cases.
